We learned from Volvo’s official website that its first pure electric model Volvo XC40 new energy (import) will usher in the first OTA upgrade, which will improve the charging speed and cruising range of the vehicle, and fix the previously discovered loopholes.
Although the OTA upgrade has adjusted the charging speed and cruising range, Volvo officials did not disclose the specific increase. In this upgrade, the Android operating system used by the car and machine has also been updated, which improves the stability and safety of the car and machine. At the same time, the vehicle’s Bluetooth connection, air conditioning control, owner’s manual, and 360-degree panoramic images have also been optimized.
In this regard, Henrik Green, chief technology officer of Volvo, said that the benefits of OTA upgrade are obvious. Users only need to click “OK” and the rest of the upgrade will be handled by Volvo electric vehicles.
It is understood that this OTA upgrade will take the lead in Europe. At present, Volvo XC40 new energy has been mass-produced and launched in China. The car is equipped with a front and rear dual-motor system. The integrated power is 408Ps, the peak torque reaches 660N·m, and the 0-100km/h acceleration time is only 4.9 seconds. The cruising range is 420km.
